Easter Countdown!
With just about two weeks left until Easter, we’re hard at work preparing ourselves. Last week we worked on our bodies. If you missed that blog post, it’s not too late to join us. You can double up and add a body suggestion to this week’s activities as well.
Week 2 Healthy Soul Ideas
For week 2, we’ll focus on preparing our souls for Easter. If you remember, the soul is made up of the mind, the emotions, and the will. Here are some suggestions to work on for the next several days. Feel free to add your own ideas and please share them with us in the comments. We’d love to hear what you’re doing.
Wildnerness Mentality
If you find yourself continually settling for an unfulfilling life and/or relationships and can’t bring yourself to make any changes, you may have a wilderness mentality. Let’s find out how to break out of this pattern with the help of Joyce Meyer.
Emotional Health
This week let’s focus on identifying which emotion we are struggling with most in our current season of life. For example, in my current season of life, I would like to incorporate more joy. Rather than my circumstances dictating my joy, I want to develop a mindset of joy that isn’t dependent on everything in my life going according to plan. I will identify a few resources on joy and be listening to/reading them this week. I will also find a memory verse and begin memorizing it.
My Will
When I think of will, I think of it as making up my mind about something and determining to do it. For years, I have wanted to make exercise a priority, but for years I have failed to do it!
This year I finally found a way to make it happen. I determined to change my schedule to frontload my day with exercise, and I have stuck with it.
This week, identify a choice or decision you have been putting off, pray through it, and make a plan to follow through.
What Are You Trying?
If you’d like, at the end of the week, leave us a comment below about any of the changes you’ve made. It’s always inspiring to read about another’s progress.
Have a blessed week preparing yourself for Easter!
